Productivity x2

Long, productive weekend. Though tonight I’m a work finishing up some loose ends so the sky doesn’t fall on my head tomorrow.

Friday night I went to see “The Devil Wears Prada” with my sister, her friend and Lane. Good movie. Entertaining and chick-flicky, which is all I was really looking for. Post-movie, Lane and I picked up Brian and her man and went to Trocadero for some drinks and for me, food. They’ve a fabulous Wasabi-encrusted tuna steak. I highly recommended it especially chased by a couple of margaritas. Mmm… summer drinks.

Saturday was taken up by breakfast with the boy, an excursion to Shi Chai for ghasemi (for Carrianna’s bellydance movie night), farmer’s market flowers, a wedding shower (hence, the flowers) and bellydance movies with Lane and Carrianna. Brian and Rob opted out to drink rum and watch horror movies.

More later… bed time.

Ok, back at it. The sky is indeed falling, but luckily I have a sturdy umbrella. It turned inside out, briefly, during a wind gust early on Sunday morning and I had one of my late night freak outs. Brian talked me down, very gently. Thank you. I love you. You’re my sanity, on occasion.

Sunday we screen printed Brad & Molly’s invitations, then I headed home and got two loads of laundry and my dishes done. It was during this that I discovered that my boss’s laptop is a piece of gossa, so I headed back to work at 6 and decided that sleep was necessary at 11:15ish when Timmy signed off AIM and I was lonely in cyberspace.

My cat’s lookin’ all skinny ’cause all of her fur is on my floor - a situation I hope to remedy tonight with a broom and a cold front.

I was looking all skinny until work expoded again. Hopefully, if I’m dedicated, I can kill some of these dragons early in the week and be ok by Wednesday night.
